Meat Horses June 8 2013

At the Woodville auction this week there were 3 mini ponies, 2 of them were not handled youngsters, and one a mini stud that did seem to be halter trained but appeared to have a dropped hip.  All did go to good homes.  I have been suprised that there have been fewer horses at the auction lately, I am wondering if increased awareness about horse meat buyers being there has helped.  I do know that the horse trader that got himself in trouble a while back did bring alot of horses to auction, I hope that he is not bringing them all straight to the meat yard like he implied!
